Dua Lipa has confirmed her engagement to actor Callum Turner after months of speculation. The pop star shared the news during an interview with *British Vogue*, describing the moment as “very exciting.” Talk of a possible engagement began when Lipa posted a photo on Instagram showing what looked like an engagement ring. Until now, neither Lipa nor Turner had addressed the rumors.
In the interview, Lipa revealed that Turner designed the ring with help from her best friends and her sister. “I’m obsessed with it,” she said. “It’s so me. It’s nice to know the person you’re going to spend the rest of your life with knows you very well.” Although Lipa did not share full details of the ring, New York-based jeweler Susie Saltzman told *BRIDES* that the piece appears to feature a solitaire round brilliant or old European cut diamond on a chunky yellow gold band. Saltzman estimated that, depending on the diamond’s size and quality, the ring could cost anywhere between \$65,000 and \$125,000.
Despite confirming their engagement, Lipa said she and Turner have not started planning their wedding. She explained that she wants to finish her tour while Turner focuses on his acting projects. “We’re just enjoying this period,” she said. Lipa admitted she had never thought much about weddings or imagined what kind of bride she would be. Now, with Turner, she finds herself wondering what she might wear. Reflecting on the relationship, Lipa said, “This decision to grow old together, to see a life and just, I don’t know, be best friends forever—it’s a really special feeling.”
Lipa also shared how she and Turner became close. Though they had long been part of the same social circles, they first met at The River Cafe in London through an introduction by the restaurant’s cofounder. A year later, they ran into each other at a restaurant in Los Angeles. They began talking after realizing they were both reading the same book, *Trust* by Hernan Diaz. When asked if these moments felt like fate, Lipa did not hesitate. “One thousand percent,” she said.
