Reality TV star and entrepreneur Minnie Kariuki has announced plans to invest in her media career after receiving a generous birthday gift of Ksh4 million from her husband, Lugz Kenya.
On Monday, June 2, 2025, the actress shared on Instagram that the gift would fund the creation of her own media company. She described this venture as a commitment to storytelling with purpose and impact.
“Four million shillings for my birthday? My husband gave me the keys to my media kingdom,” she wrote. “This is more than a company — it is a commitment to craft, to vision, to integrity, and to the belief that great storytelling can change everything.”
Known for her role in “The Real Housewives of Nairobi,” Minnie said the idea for the media company has been years in the making, fueled by late nights, bold ideas, and a strong drive to build something meaningful.
The new company will focus on producing powerful content that highlights stories that matter — whether raw, real, imaginative, or deeply personal. “Our mission is simple — to tell stories that matter,” she added. “We want to create work that resonates, inspires, and stays with you long after the credits roll.”
Though Minnie did not reveal specific upcoming projects, she promised original and thought-provoking productions soon. She described the venture as a creative turning point in her career.
“I am beyond excited to embark on this new journey and cannot wait to share all the incredible content we will create together,” she said.
The announcement sparked a mix of reactions online. While many fans congratulated Minnie on the generous gift, some questioned how her husband could afford such an amount in the current economic climate. Others joked that she should have thrown a lavish birthday party instead of investing in the media company.
