Mumbai Indians star batsman Rohit Sharma made a fan’s day by gifting him his famous blue Lamborghini Urus on Monday. This luxury car has become closely linked with Rohit because of the number 264, which honors his world-record 264-run innings in One Day Internationals (ODIs). The 38-year-old player is often seen driving this blue Lamborghini around the city.
The lucky fan received the car as a prize for winning a fantasy cricket contest. Before the start of IPL 2025, many cricketers, including Rohit, appeared in an advertisement for the Dream11 app. In the ad, Rohit jokingly promised to give away his Lamborghini Urus to one lucky winner.
A video that is now popular on social media shows Rohit handing over the car keys to the fan. The luxurious SUV is visible in the background. The Lamborghini Urus is valued at around Rs 4 crore in India.
Rohit recently retired from Test cricket after an impressive career. He played 67 Test matches, scoring 4,301 runs, including 12 centuries and 18 half-centuries. Another star batsman, Virat Kohli, also announced his retirement from Test cricket before the upcoming five-Test series between India and England.
In the IPL, Mumbai Indians are competing fiercely for the final playoff spot. They have played 12 matches, winning seven, and have 14 points. Delhi Capitals have won six out of 12 matches and earned 12 points.
Mumbai Indians will face Delhi Capitals on Wednesday. If Mumbai wins, they will qualify for the playoffs. If Delhi wins, both teams will rely on their final match against Punjab Kings to secure a spot.
So far, Gujarat Titans, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Punjab Kings have already qualified for the playoffs. Only one spot remains open.
