Country singer Cooper Alan has announced that he and his wife, Hally, are expecting their first child.
The 29-year-old singer, who gained fame by sharing cover songs, mash-ups, and original music on TikTok during the Covid-19 pandemic, shared the joyful news on social media.
In a heartfelt Instagram video set to Taylor Swift’s song But Daddy I Love Him, Cooper and Hally are seen dancing, kissing, and hugging in an open field. The clip also shows a baby ultrasound scan.
In the video, Hally wears a long, flowing off-white dress. Cooper is dressed casually in blue jeans and a white shirt.
Hally captioned the post, “Sweetest news we’ve ever shared – Praising God for this perfect gift!!!!!”
Cooper shared the announcement with his fans on Facebook, writing, “WE’RE HAVING A BABY! Thanking God for blessing us with one of life’s greatest gifts. Hally, I can’t wait to do this with you! LET’S GO!”
Fans quickly congratulated the couple in the comments. One wrote, “Congratulations! Time for some nursery rhyme mash-ups.” Another joked, “Guess you will start coming up with nursery songs. Lol congrats.” A third fan said, “Congratulations to both of you! I bet he/she will have some musical skills!! Oh ya!!”
Cooper and Hally were friends in high school before they started dating in college. They got engaged in May 2022 in New York City.
At the time, Cooper described Hally as “the most generous, loving, thoughtful, and morally sound person I know.” Hally said Cooper “loves his people so so well and is kind to everyone who crosses his path.”
Cooper said, “I’ve wanted to marry Hally since the 10th grade and now it’s official! I’m so happy to get to spend the rest of my life with my best friend.”
Hally added, “Stepping into marriage with Cooper is without a doubt the joy of my life. Taking those sacred vows in front of everyone we love – but most importantly, in front of God – was so special to me.”
