Haim recently opened up about their bond with legendary singer Stevie Nicks and shared the meaningful gift she gave each of them.
In a new interview with Jo Whiley on BBC Radio 2, the trio was asked about their most prized possessions. Alana Haim recalled a special memory, saying, “My mum got a Yamaha nylon-stringed guitar for her 13th birthday, and she kept it. It was the first guitar we learned to play on.” She laughed, adding, “We’re terrible at losing things, but somehow she still has it.”
Este Haim then shared the personal gift they received from Stevie Nicks, saying, “We all got these beautiful moon necklaces from Stevie. I usually wear mine and really treasure it.” Este went on to mention that she had the necklace in her purse during the interview but typically wears it.
The band was also asked about their upcoming collaboration with the Fleetwood Mac singer, which Nicks had recently teased. While they remained tight-lipped about the project, they teased, “Maybe, maybe.”
Nicks had previously confirmed she worked with Haim on a new song, though details remained under wraps. She expressed her admiration for the group, highlighting Danielle Haim’s voice as “stunning” and praising the band’s unique percussion. “It starts with Danielle’s voice, but Este and Alana’s percussion turns all of their songs into masterpieces,” she said. Nicks also compared their sound to Fleetwood Mac’s, saying, “For me, it’s like coming home. They could certainly all have been in Fleetwood Mac.”
Haim also announced that their new album, *I Quit*, will be released on June 27. In addition to the album, they will embark on a UK arena tour later this year. There are also strong rumors they might make a surprise appearance at Glastonbury, which they addressed in the interview.
When asked about their favorite Glastonbury stage, the band revealed their love for The Park Stage. Alana shared, “We love The Park Stage. It was the first stage we played at Glastonbury, and it felt like a movie.”
Interestingly, Haim will play a one-off UK show on June 27 in Margate, which places them in the country during Glastonbury, fueling speculation about a possible appearance at the festival.
