A Malaysian father was brought to tears after his 11 children surprised him with a brand-new car in an emotional gesture that quickly went viral on social media.
The moment was captured in a TikTok video posted on June 17 by user Azzerruleyoung. In just days, the video has received nearly 10 million views, drawing widespread attention and heartfelt responses.
The two-minute clip shows a woman covering the elderly man’s eyes as he pulls a car key from a gift box. He is then led out of his seat, surrounded by joyful family members. As he touches the outside of the car — a Proton X70 SUV — the man appears to understand what has happened. Still blindfolded, he squats down, overwhelmed by emotion, before being guided into the driver’s seat.
When his eyes are finally uncovered, he breaks down in tears upon realizing he is inside a brand-new vehicle. His children clap and release confetti in celebration, while his wife hugs and comforts him. Visibly stunned, the father steps out of the car, covering his face and gazing at the SUV in disbelief.
According to the video caption, the car was a gift for both Father’s Day and to mark their parents’ 38th wedding anniversary. In a follow-up comment cited by local media outlet 8world, the user shared that their father previously owned only an old motorcycle, which he had used for years to transport the family.
