Actress Sydney Sweeney has unveiled a surprising and unconventional product: a limited-edition soap made using water from her own bath. The promotional move, done in collaboration with personal care brand Dr. Squatch, has sparked a wide range of reactions online.
The product, called Sydney’s Bathwater Bliss, was announced after fans joked about wanting her bathwater following a previous Dr. Squatch advertisement. Sweeney confirmed in a playful Instagram post: “You kept asking about my bathwater after the @drsquatch ad… so we kept it.”
Only 5,000 bars of the soap will be made, targeting her most enthusiastic fans. Pricing has not yet been disclosed, but the scarcity and novelty of the item suggest it will be highly sought after.
In an interview with GQ, Sweeney said the product reflects her connection with fans. “I honestly think it’s a really fun, full-circle moment,” she said. “This is just such a cool way to have a conversation with the audience and give them what they want—while also encouraging them to take care of themselves in a healthy way.”
Reactions have been mixed. Some social media users expressed confusion or discomfort, while others were excited, with one commenter writing, “Thanks, I’ll take 100.”
Sweeney confirmed she uses the soap herself, telling GQ, “I do have the bar. I actually took a shower this morning, and I used it.”
As of now, only 4,999 bars remain—an unusual but effective example of celebrity branding in 2025.
