PELHAM — Ballantrae Golf Club will hold a special golf tournament on Father’s Day, Monday, June 16. The event is organized in partnership with the Warrior Wellness Group.
The tournament will follow a four-person scramble format. Golfers of all skill levels are welcome to participate. Players can check in starting at 7:30 a.m., with the shotgun start scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Awards, prizes, and lunch will be given out at 1 p.m.
The 18-hole tournament will include breakfast and lunch for all players. There will also be contests for the closest shot to the pin and the longest drive. Raffle prizes will be available as well.
Registration costs $200 per player or $800 for a team of four. Interested participants can sign up now at Warriorwellnessgroup.com.
Cherie Dopson, owner of the Warrior Wellness Group and founder of Selah Christian Counseling and Wellness, shared her appreciation for the community’s support.
“We have strong backing from local groups, including the Pelham Police and Fire departments and the Birmingham VFW,” Dopson said. “The proceeds will help veterans and their families access counseling, neurofeedback, and other wellness services.”
Dopson also described what participants can expect from the day.
“Golfers can look forward to a fun round of golf, quality time with friends and family, and a memorable experience that will bring them back year after year,” she said.
