To mark the one-year anniversary of its Surrey Best Buy Express location, the store is offering a special reward to the first 50 customers next Tuesday.
The celebration will take place at the Best Buy Express in Guildford Town Centre, the first location to open in Metro Vancouver.
Those first 50 customers will receive a \$50 Best Buy gift card. According to Best Buy Express, this card can be used at any Best Buy store.
Best Buy Express is a compact version of the main Best Buy stores, created through a partnership between Best Buy and Bell.
When the chain announced plans to open nearly 200 of these mini-stores, it was called a bold goal. However, in less than five months, 167 Best Buy Express locations opened nationwide.
Best Buy Canada credits this rapid expansion to the hard work of many employees from both Best Buy and Bell.
The anniversary event will be held on Tuesday, June 24, at the Guildford Town Centre store. It will also launch Best Buy’s Boxing Day in Summer sale, which runs from June 26 to July 3 at both Best Buy and Best Buy Express locations.
A Best Buy Canada spokesperson said the Guildford Town Centre store holds a special place in the program and is one of the most successful Best Buy Express locations so far.
Across Canada, many Best Buy Express stores have replaced former outlets of The Source, a previous electronics and cellphone retailer.
