Princess Isabella closely resembled her mother, Queen Mary, as she joined her family on the balcony of Frederik VIII’s Palace to celebrate King Frederik’s 57th birthday.
The 18-year-old daughter of Queen Mary and King Frederik wore a bright orange single-breasted suit by Harris Wharf. Her sharp outfit caught attention, highlighting her status as a well-dressed heir to the Danish throne.
Not only did Isabella’s long brunette hair mirror her mother’s, but she also wore a Prada blouse from Queen Mary’s wardrobe. The blouse featured floral embroidery, a chiffon overlay, and a trendy pussy bow neckline, a style expected to be popular in 2025.
Queen Mary originally wore the blouse in 2018 at the opening of the photo exhibition ‘Transformation.’ She paired it with wide-leg black trousers and patent stilettos. Mary also wore it again in 2021 during a speech at the Womenomics Nordic Business Conference.
Alongside King Frederik and Princess Isabella on the balcony were Queen Margrethe, Prince Vincent, Princess Josephine, and one of the royal dogs. Queen Mary, dressed in a navy Soeren Le Schmidt dress with Gianvito Rossi snakeskin pumps and a leaf brooch by Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen, was also present to celebrate the king’s birthday.
This year, Princess Isabella has made only a few public appearances. In April, she marked two important birthdays – her own 18th and her grandmother Queen Margrethe’s 85th.
For Queen Margrethe’s milestone birthday, Isabella stood with her parents, siblings, great aunts Princess Benedikte and Queen Anne-Marie of Greece, and cousins Count Felix and Count Nikolai. She wore a vibrant purple blazer with a black skirt and black knee-high boots.
The birthday celebrations continued with a grand ball at the Royal Theatre’s Old Stage in Copenhagen. Isabella dazzled in a midnight tulle gown, carrying a matching clutch and wearing stunning diamond chandelier earrings.
