Former President Barack Obama, 63, shared a rare glimpse of his family in a touching post celebrating his daughter Sasha’s 24th birthday. The photo, taken outdoors, shows Barack sporting a full head of white hair, a stark contrast to his previous salt-and-pepper look. In the image, he wore a white polo shirt, khakis, and white sneakers, while holding his daughter close. Sasha, dressed in a strapless knit top, a brown floor-length skirt, and silver flats, leaned into her father as they posed for the picture.
Michelle Obama, 61, smiled beside them, looking radiant in a black dress with silver jewelry, while Malia, the couple’s eldest daughter, completed the family snapshot in a yellow halter sundress.
In his birthday tribute, Barack wrote, “Watching you grow into the incredible woman you are has been a true gift. I’ll always be proud of you and will always be here for you.” He added, “Happy birthday, Sasha!”
Michelle also shared the same image on Instagram, expressing her pride for her daughter. “Can’t believe how quickly time has flown,” she wrote. “I’m so proud of the woman you’ve become. Love you always! ”
This is not the first time Barack has shown off his white hair. Earlier this year, he posted a selfie with Michelle on Valentine’s Day, where his white locks were clearly visible. The former President’s signature salt-and-pepper look has been gradually replaced with a more distinguished, full head of white hair over the past few years.
Earlier this year, Barack and Michelle were also spotted enjoying a romantic evening in New York City, and in April, Barack shared a dinner with his daughters at Hamasaku in West Los Angeles.
Reflecting on his daughters’ growing independence, Barack mentioned in a podcast last October that both Sasha and Malia are “stubborn” when it comes to accepting help from their parents. “They’re very sensitive about this stuff,” he said. “They’re very stubborn about it.”
