Television host Andy Cohen marked his daughter Lucy’s third birthday with a lighthearted and meaningful celebration, highlighting her transition out of diapers.
On May 28, Cohen shared a video on Instagram showcasing a diaper-themed birthday cake, specially created to honor Lucy’s move into what he called her “underwear era.” The cake, which featured the phrase “In My Underwear Era,” served as a playful symbol of her graduation from diapers.
According to the post, Lucy had asked for only one thing for her birthday—underwear. Cohen expressed his pride in this milestone, thanking Coterie, the diaper brand, for supporting the celebration. A card from the company congratulated Lucy on her potty training achievement.
As part of the birthday festivities, Lucy received a gift bag filled with multiple pairs of underwear. Cohen also shared that she was thrilled with the present, which reflected her personal wish for the occasion.
The celebration emphasized a shift in routine for both father and daughter. Cohen noted that diaper changes were now a thing of the past, highlighting his daughter’s growing independence.
Cohen, who is also the father of six-year-old Ben, often shares family updates and milestones on social media. In a previous video posted in April, Lucy had clearly stated her only birthday request was underwear, which Cohen described as a sign of her low-maintenance nature—at least for now.
