Souvenir gift bags from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding are now available for collectors on eBay. The bags, which feature the royal insignia and the wedding date, contain various items, including a chocolate coin, shortbread, a bottle of spring water, a fridge magnet, a wristband, and several pamphlets and printed materials.
These materials include a wedding programme, entry cards, a 20% discount voucher for a royal gift shop, and a sheet with guest information. The gift bags are being listed for prices ranging from £335 to £414.
Meghan and Harry’s 2018 wedding was a major public event, drawing thousands of spectators to Windsor. The guest list included celebrities such as Oprah, Carey Mulligan, and Idris Elba, along with politicians, aristocrats, and Meghan’s co-stars from her television series *Suits*. Over 2,000 members of the public were invited to watch the ceremony from within the castle grounds—those individuals were the recipients of the gift bags now for sale.
The couple expressed a strong desire to honor people who had dedicated themselves to community service and charity work. Invitations were extended to more than 350 people connected to Prince Harry’s charitable organizations, 100 schoolchildren from the local area, and members of the Windsor Castle and Royal Household communities.
Selling these gift bags online has become a trend, especially when Meghan and Harry make news. In 2019, after the birth of their son Archie, one gift bag was sold for more than £3,000. In 2018, another guest listed theirs for \$28,500 (£21,231), though that sale reportedly fell through due to failed authentication.
This May, the couple marked their seventh wedding anniversary, which Meghan commemorated with a series of personal photographs of Prince Harry shared on social media.
