Island Essence, a women-led company based in Maui, is celebrating its 35th anniversary with a sitewide sale. From June 6 to June 11, customers can enjoy 30% off all products and receive a free gift with every order. All items ship directly from the company’s workshop in Kahului.
Founded in 1990 as a family dream, Island Essence has become a popular local brand. The company is known for blending the “magic of the islands” with a generous dose of aloha in every product. Over the years, it has faced challenges such as economic changes, natural disasters, and the COVID-19 pandemic, but it has stayed a steady part of the Maui community.
Island Essence makes all its products on Maui. These include lotions, oils, soaps, and spa collections. Many products feature Hawaiian ingredients like noni, kukui, coconut, and island florals. The company sources ingredients locally whenever possible.
The anniversary sale is Island Essence’s way of thanking the community that has supported them and welcoming new customers to their ʻohana, or family. The sale also coincides with King Kamehameha Day, a state holiday celebrating Hawaiʻi’s royal heritage and cultural traditions.
