Squire’s Crawley is marking its 25th anniversary with a special celebration scheduled for Tuesday, July 8, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at its garden centre on Horsham Road.
The event will be hosted by Colin Squire OBE, chairman emeritus of Squire’s Garden Centres, along with his daughter, Sarah Squire, the current chairman.
Sarah Squire expressed her pride in the milestone, saying, “We are incredibly proud to be celebrating 25 years of Squire’s Crawley – a centre that holds a special place in our family and the community. My father and I are very much looking forward to welcoming customers to share in this milestone with us.”
She added that the afternoon will be a time for reflection and celebration, as well as an opportunity to thank loyal customers and the dedicated team. The event will also support the centre’s Charity of the Year, Age Concern (Crawley branch).
Guests attending the celebration will be welcomed with a glass of sparkling wine before enjoying a full afternoon tea. The menu will feature a selection of sandwiches, scones with jam and clotted cream, and an assortment of mini cakes, served alongside tea or coffee. Vegetarian and gluten-free options will be available.
Adding to the atmosphere, live music will be performed by a local pianist.
The event will also feature a charity raffle in support of Age UK Crawley.
Since opening in 1999, the Crawley branch has become a popular spot for gardening enthusiasts and families. The centre is known for its wide range of plants, garden products, and homeware. It also offers a café, landscaping services, and hosts various workshops and events throughout the year.
