SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Holy Cross College announced a $1 million donation to support the construction of a chapel in the new student union building.
The gift comes from Dr. Gregory Hoffman and his wife, Susanne. Dr. Hoffman has served on the college’s board of trustees for many years.
The student union broke ground earlier this month and will be a central place for students on campus. The chapel will offer a spiritual space for the college community.
Dr. Hoffman said in a statement, “Our hope is that it will provide a place for students, faculty, and administrators to pray and reflect on all the wonderful things that God has bestowed on Holy Cross College and the Holy Cross College family.”
