DALLAS – Bibiana Gonzalez, a 24-year-old from Oak Cliff, Texas, experienced an unexpected turn of events when her car caught fire on U.S. 75. While driving in the HOV lane, one of her tires blew. Gonzalez slowly made her way off the highway, but soon smoke began rising from her car. Moments later, flames erupted from the back of her 2019 Nissan Sentra.
Gonzalez quickly got out of the car with her cousin. Firefighters arrived shortly after and used a substance to put out the fire. Unfortunately, the liquid seeped into the seats and damaged the car’s motor, rendering the vehicle a total loss. Gonzalez had invested much of her life savings into the car and still had around $10,000 left to pay on it.
Before her car was towed away, Gonzalez noticed a water jug from Paris Hilton’s houseware collection, undamaged by the fire. In a moment of humor, she recorded a video and said, “My car just caught on fire. And your cup survived, Paris. Do you want to buy me a new car?”
The video quickly went viral, accumulating more than 30 million views. Paris Hilton saw it and reached out to Gonzalez, offering to help. Within days, Hilton surprised Gonzalez with a brand-new 2025 Hyundai Sonata in Dallas.
“I couldn’t believe it. She looked like an angel, dressed in all white,” Gonzalez recalled. “I kept thinking, ‘This isn’t real. Someone please wake me up.’” She added, “This doesn’t happen to someone like me, especially from where I’m from. You’re lucky if you make it out and do something with your life.”
Gonzalez’s new car was a generous gift from Hilton, who responded to the viral video with an act of kindness that changed the young woman’s life.
