Marie Louise House in Romsey, Hampshire, recently celebrated its 20th anniversary with a special event that brought together residents, their families, staff, and community members.
The celebration was attended by Councillor Gordon Bailey, Mayor of Test Valley, who joined in honoring the milestone. During the event, special gifts were given to staff members recognized for their dedication and ambition in making the care home a welcoming place. Among those honored was Mair Williams, executive director of community and complex care at Healthcare Management Trust (HMT).
Marie Louise House offers nursing and respite care, along with specialist support for people living with dementia.
Amy Francis, the activities coordinator at Marie Louise House, said the event was heartwarming. “It was so lovely seeing everyone come together to make this special occasion. Having the support of the community and families means a lot to all of us here. Moments like this make the job truly rewarding.”
Andrea Barker, area manager at HMT, expressed pride in the team’s achievements. “I am beyond proud of everyone involved in marking this day. We have come a long way over the years, and this celebration shows the hard work of the entire team. We have built something very special here. I am grateful and proud to be part of something so magical.”
