The Iran Cultural Centre in Colombo recently held a seminar titled “Unity in the Thought of Imam Khomeini” to mark the 36th anniversary of the death of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the spiritual leader of Iran.
The event took place under the patronage of Dr. B. Moazami Goodarzi, Cultural Counsellor of the Iran Cultural Centre. Several notable figures attended the seminar, including Dr. Ven. Mathurata Dhammalankara Thera, Chief Chapter of Lanka Raama Vihara, Ebrahim Mehraein, Charge d’affaires of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Hujjathul Islam Seyed Zeinul Abideen Mirfatemi, Representative of Al Mustafa International University.
During the seminar, the speakers praised Imam Khomeini’s significant contributions to Iran. They highlighted his leadership and efforts, which played a crucial role in bringing about the historic Islamic Revolution.
Senior officials from the Iranian Embassy and representatives from various Muslim organizations also participated in the event.
