Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir presented Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif with a photo claiming it showed a Pakistani strike on India.
The photo features the PHL-03, a Chinese multiple rocket launcher, and has been used several times over the past five years. It was mistakenly passed off as proof of Pakistan’s Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos against India.
India has released extensive evidence of its strikes on Pakistani airbases, showing significant damage. Meanwhile, Munir’s team used the old Chinese drill photo to claim a victory they never achieved.
The image was presented during a high-profile dinner hosted by Munir, intended to honor Pakistan’s leadership and armed forces. However, social media users quickly spotted the false claim, mocking the gift and exposing the photo’s true origin.
Critics pointed out that Pakistan’s state policy continues to involve denial and deception despite clear evidence from India. The incident became a subject of widespread ridicule online.
