Pop star Dua Lipa has officially confirmed her engagement to actor Callum Turner, ending weeks of speculation. Fans first noticed the stunning diamond ring , which sparked rumors of the couple’s engagement. Since then, Dua has been seen wearing the ring frequently.
In an interview with British Vogue, Dua shared details about the engagement and the ring. She revealed that Callum designed the custom ring after consulting her closest friends and her sister, Rina. Dua said, “I’m obsessed with it. It’s so me. It’s nice to know the person that you’re going to spend the rest of your life with knows you very well.”
The ring features a classic round-cut diamond, but with a unique tension setting. This design makes the diamond appear to float, held in place only by the pressure of two metal ends. The band is a thick gold cigar style, which is a bold and modern twist on the traditional thin engagement band.
Although Dua and Callum have not disclosed the ring’s exact price, experts have estimated its value. New York-based luxury ring designer Suisse Saltzman described the ring as a modern take on a classic style. The diamond is set low and nearly flush within the wide gold band, possibly in a bezel setting. Saltzman estimated the ring’s value between \$65,000 and \$125,000, depending on the diamond’s quality.
However, diamond expert Laura Taylor believes the stone weighs between three and four carats, which could raise its value to between \$200,000 and \$270,000. This is approximately Rs 1.72 crore to Rs 2.33 crore.
