On SBS Life’s program “Kim Nam-joo, Queen of Anmok” aired on the 22nd, actress Kim Nam-joo gave viewers a rare tour of her family home, where she has lived for 20 years.
During the show, Kim showcased her garden filled with flowers and trees. She shared a story about a French fountain she purchased. “I bought the fountain because it came from France. It had a crack, so I asked for it to be repaired. It cracked again, but I’m still using it because it’s fine now,” she explained. She added, “Isn’t it pretty? In winter, snow piles up on it and it doesn’t freeze. I use it when guests come in the spring. The sound of flowing water is so different from no water.”
Kim also highlighted the distinctive green gate at her home. “My husband bought this gate from Italy as my first birthday gift after we married,” she said. “When he asked what I wanted for my birthday, I told him a green gate. He said I’d be the first person to receive such a gift.”
She reflected on the wait, “It took eight months to get the gate. Looking back, my husband must have had a hard time. I’m the type to wait for something beautiful, but my husband is more impatient and prefers quicker solutions.”
This glimpse into their home and memories shows a personal side of Kim Nam-joo and her husband Kim Seung-woo, marked by thoughtful gifts and lasting affection.
