The first-ever Casiola Golf Charity Open was held at La Cañada Golf Club in Guadiaro, raising €6,380 in support of Casa Ángeles, a Marbella-based day centre that serves children with special needs. The fundraising event was organised by Casiola Sotogrande in partnership with La Cañada Golf Club.
More than 100 golfers participated in the tournament, which combined sport with philanthropy. Among the attendees were actor Amaury Nolasco, best known for his role in Prison Break, and philanthropist Kevin Fearnley. Both will be honoured at the upcoming 14th Global Gift Gala in Marbella.
Participants competed for a variety of high-profile prizes, including a 2026 round of golf at the famous Old Course at St Andrews, entry to the AT Curaçao Invitational, and a luxury stay at Al Houara Golf Club in Tangier. Additional contests for the longest drive and closest to the pin added excitement to the day. A charity raffle also offered culinary experiences and luxury items donated by sponsors such as Casiola, Toro Tour, and Pachamama Restaurant.
All proceeds from the event—including donations and raffle sales—will go toward Casa Ángeles, which currently supports 739 families. The centre provides 121 weekly therapy sessions and hosts a summer camp for 130 children with diverse needs.
T-BUGGY, a company from San Sebastián, supported the event by supplying eco-friendly, high-tech golf buggies, highlighting their commitment to sustainability and social impact.
La Cañada Golf Club, a nonprofit known for promoting inclusive golf, teamed up with Casiola Sotogrande to lead the initiative. Representing the Global Gift Foundation were ambassador Genevieve Fearnley Pantin and Francisco Ortiz Von Bismarck, who attended the event to show their support for the cause.
